We are looking for a Back Office Pharmacist to join our team. You will play a key role in the management of medicines and medical supplies for our missions.

Mobility: HQ 80% and Field 20%

Type of Contract: Fixed-Term Renewable

Position to be filled: As Soon As Possible

Objectives

The principal objective of the position is to support MSF WaCA on the definition of the organization processes assets (tools, guidelines, policies, SOP, templates, committees, etc...) related to the pharmacy. This goes from the needs identification based on medical strategy, their quantification, the supply chain system including quality assurance and drugs distribution and the efficient & rational use of pharmaceutical products.

 

Main responsibilities

  •   Support the field by developing or contextualizing and ensure implementing of the standard operational procedures tailored to local needs.

  •   Provide ongoing technical support for pharmacy teams, particularly on the use of pharmacy management tools like Isystock, pharmacy monthly reports, prescription monitoring tools, dispensation survey, IO tools …etc

  •   Provide technical support in the selection of medical items used in the mission, including medical standard lists, forecasts, and orders.

  •    Plan and coordinate induction sessions for newly appointed pharmacists to ensure smooth integration into roles.

  •   Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators related to pharmacy management, ensuring effective measurement and follow-up on both monthly and annual reports.

  •    Conduct regular field visits, including evaluations and audits of medical stock management practices.

  •    Participate in regular meetings with mission pharmacists and Head of Pharmacy to align on operational goals and share updates.

  •    Oversee the revision of medical orders created by Pharma Coordinators and Mission Pharmacists, ensuring accuracy before submission to the Head of Pharmacy.

  •   Ensure timely and accurate submission of monthly pharmaceutical reports from missions, providing oversight and support where needed.

  •    Produce synthetic and comparative reports summarizing mission activities and operational insights to be submitted quarterly to head of pharmacy

 

Job requirements

Education

  •        Degree as Pharmacist.

  •        Master on Public health or Supply Chain Systems is an asset

Professional experience required

  •        Minimum 5 years' experience as pharmacist.

  •        Experience with stock management, supply chain, people management & coaching.

  •        Mandatory: 3 years MSF experience

Languages Skills

  •        Working proficiency in English and French (Mandatory)

 

Computer Skills

  •        MS Office suite (mainly MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
