We Are Looking for: INTERN PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Direct Manager:  Information System Program & PMO Lead

Assigned Mentor: PMO Lead

Working %: 100%

Position Based in: Abidjan, HQ

Type of Contract: Fixed-Term Internship Contract under Ivorian law; (3) months Renewable

Position to be filled: As soon as possible

Your Role in the team

Context of the position

As part of the structuring of the Information System department, the Project Office (PMO) and the continuous improvement of our IS processes, we are looking for a Project Management Intern. Under the supervision of the IS Program and PMO Lead, you will actively participate in the implementation of our governance framework and support the deployment of cross-functional technological projects for the entire organization.

 

Main missions

 

  1.        Support for the structuring and governance of the PMO

§  Participate in the drafting and updating of PMO policies (methodological framework, resource management, prioritization criteria).

§  Assist in the animation and optimization of the Intake Portal to ensure smooth processing of new needs.

§  Help enrich the Business Case of requests that arrive at the Intake Portal

§  Contribute to the creation of project management templates and artifacts aligned with industry standards (PMI, Agile).

§  Participate in the implementation and maintenance of the PMO's documentary library (repositories, guides, policies).

 

2.        Support for cross-functional IS projects

§  Assist in the management of cross-functional IS projects by participating in the collection of needs from the various departments and benchmarks of solutions adapted to the needs collected in accordance with MSF standards

§  Assist in the documentation and monitoring of projects within the scope of the Project Office's portfolio

§  Provide support on the standard project management cycle, documentation, handover and change management

§  Contributes to the identification and monitoring of risks and dependencies between projects in the portfolio.

§  Participate in project meetings and ensure the drafting of minutes and the follow-up of actions.

 

3.        Monitoring and Reporting

§  Prepare materials for steering committees and kick-off meetings.

§  Ensure the updating of portfolio monitoring dashboards.

§  Document the lessons learned at the end of the project.

§  Contribute to the production of the monthly reporting of the IS portfolio for the management.

 

Job requirements

Who can apply ?

  •          Final-year undergraduate or graduate students based in Côte d’Ivoire.

  •          Recent graduates (within the past year)

  •          Students based in Cote d’Ivoire.

Qualifications & Professional experience required

§  Master’s student (Bac+4/5) in Information Systems Management, Project Management, or Engineering School.

Your Superpowers

§  Methodological knowledge: Strong interest in IT project and service management frameworks (PMI, Agile, ITIL 4 standards).

§  Tools: Theoretical knowledge or first experience with project management tools and ProjeQtOr, OpenProject, Jira tec ....

§  Interpersonal skills: Excellent ability to synthesize, rigor, and interpersonal skills to interact with technical and business contacts (HR, Finance, etc.).
