We are looking for an association network manager to stimulate member engagement, develop regional association networks, and coordinate MSF WaCA governance events and activities.

Type of Contract: Fixed-Term Contract under Ivorian law; Renewable

Main responsibilities

Association Life and Dynamics

§  Responsible for the stimulation of associative dynamics within the region.

§  Build and strengthen regional associative networks to achieve strong associative connections with local communities, peers and other MSF entities.

§  Identify members and manage membership database in accordance with legal and institutional requirements.

§  Lead and manage efficiently a well-established network of representations of MSF – WaCA Association in the region, including working with Asso Dynamic Managers, other MSF entities (Associations and missions) and the overall MSF Movement.

§  Develop and implement all Associative engagement related strategies and plans.

§  Jointly responsible for ensuring meaningful discussions through the organization and implementation of all associative events.

§  Foster meaningful membership engagement encourages members to take ownership of the Association and take part in the governance process in MSF.

§  Ensure that key activities, issues and development of the MSF Movement, MSF WaCA and local community are kept track of by the Association and the Board.

Responsible for organizing and animating Associative events

§  Event organization (implementation, planning, communication line, invitation drafting, link with other participating MSF departments or external entities, etc.)

§  Draft articles or feedback on events – for TAG, website, newsletters or other

§  Management of event collaborators and participants

§  Provide statistics and overall analysis on the organized event yearly

§  Associative events budget controlling

Other responsibilities

§  Develop online exchanges on the MSF-WaCA Association channels: creation of content, webinar organization

§  Participates and provides support to MSF-WaCA General Assembly and Board meeting organization

§  Conducts associative briefings / debriefings – awareness and understanding of MSF

§  Translation of texts, proofreading of texts for associative communication (French, English)

§  Participating in the organization of FADS

§  Support of other departments through the associative network

Job requirements

Education

§  Bachelor’s degree

§  Communication and interpersonal skills.

Competencies

§  Genuine interest in, understanding of and commitment to the humanitarian principles, social mission, operations, and challenges of MSF

§  Excellent communication skills including public speaking, networking, cross-cultural awareness and sound knowledge of using communication tools

§  A self-starter with stress tolerance, flexibility ability to handle large volumes of work, and track multiple projects and support multiple groups or activities at any one time

§  Flexibility to work additional/out hours as necessary to fulfil the requirements of the role and willingness to travel

§  Knowledge of, and interest in volunteers’ engagement and the values of non-governmental organization

Professional experience required

§  5 years working experience in NGO preferably in database management, internal communications or relevant areas; including 3 years MSF experience mandatory

§  2 years experiences as mandatory project/activity manager

§  Active experience as MSF Asso Member (any Asso entity) is mandatory

§  Proven experience in international event planning and technical support to meetings and events

Languages Skills

§  Working proficiency in English and French (Mandatory)

Computer Skills

§  MS Office suite (mainly MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
