About the WaCA NextGen Talent Program

This program offers students and recent graduates in Côte d’Ivoire a chance to contribute to MSF WaCA’s mission through structured internships at our Abidjan HQ. You'll work alongside experienced professionals, receive mentorship, and be part of real humanitarian projects.

We Are Looking for: UI/UX DESIGNER AND ANDROID DEVELOPER INTERN

Department: Medical

Direct Manager: IS Program and PMO Lead

Assigned Mentor: IS Program and PMO Lead

Working %: 100%

Position Based in: Abidjan, HQ

Type of Contract: Fixed-Term Internship Contract under Ivorian law; (3) months Renewable

Position to be filled: As soon as Possible

Your Role in the team

•        Design clean, modern, and user-centered interfaces for MED-APP mobile application.

•        Create wireframes, prototypes, and design mockups.

•        Support user research and usability testing to iterate on designs.

•        Collaborate with the HIS team to ensure seamless implementation.

•        Suggest creative ideas to enhance the user’s experience.

•        Write and maintain code to build, test, and upgrade functional and efficient Android applications, translating the UX designer's vision into a tangible product

•        Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code and ensure compatibility across different Android versions and devices

•        Work with FHIR developer to connect applications and FHIR resources

Who can apply ?

•        Final-year undergraduate or graduate students based in Côte d’Ivoire in the area of Software development

•        Recent graduates (within the past year) Students based in Cote d’Ivoire.

Qualifications & Professional experience required

•        Bachelor or Master degree in Software Development

•        Good knowledge of UX/UI design software such as Figma, Balsamiq Wireframes etc….

•        Good knowledge of Java and Kotlin

•        Good knowledge on coding best practise

•        Basic understanding of FHIR

•        Basic understanding of Project Management
