Mission
The intern will support the implementation of MSF WaCA’s Asso-Ops strategy, which aims to make associative members active contributors to operational dynamics. The internship specifically focuses on four strategic pillars: EPI Asso, security alert mechanisms, safeguarding and inclusion of persons with disabilities.
Main responsibilities
Support to the implementation of the Asso-Ops strategy
Contribute to the rollout of the Asso-Ops model in pilot or active project sites.
Assist in documenting field feedback and analyzing interactions between associative members and operational teams.
Help promote and disseminate the EPI Asso principles among the associative community.
2. Contribution to the associative security alert system
Support awareness-raising efforts around the associative role in sharing field-based security alerts (to Heads of Mission, Project Coordinators, etc.).
Assist in collecting and compiling security-related feedback from the field or associative antennae.
Contribute to document monitoring.
3. Support in fostering a safeguarding culture
Assist in facilitating discussions on preventing abuse, exploitation, and harassment within associative spaces.
Contribute to developing accessible tools and learning materials to enhance member understanding of safeguarding policies.
Participate in identifying associative focal points who could support awareness or referral roles.
4. Promotion of inclusion
Help gather initiatives and testimonies related to inclusion of persons with disabilities in associative and operational spaces.
Participate in developing inclusive formats for associative activities and communications.
Support member sensitization on diversity, accessibility, and inclusion.
5. Logistics, documentation, and coordination
Assist in logistical preparation of relevant events (workshops, FADs, General Assembly, etc.).
Contribute to the production and archiving of key documents (minutes, videos, resource sheets...).
Help update databases, follow-up tools, and performance indicators for the department.
Job requirements
Education
Student in social sciences, international relations, project management, communication, law, or any relevant field.
Technical skills
Ø Strong interest in humanitarian, associative, and participatory issues.
Ø Good analytical, organizational, synthesis, and communication skills.
Ø Sensitivity to issues of gender, protection, diversity, and human rights.
