We are looking for a motivated intern to join our communications team at Médecins Sans Frontières-WaCA, based in the Communications department.

Médecins Sans Frontières, founded in 1971, is an international medical humanitarian organization that provides emergency medical assistance to people affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters or exclusion from health care. Mission
The intern will support the MSF WaCA associative team in implementing internal and external communication actions aimed at strengthening the visibility, participation and commitment of associate members. He/she contributes to the planning, production and dissemination of content and to the coordination of associative events.
Main responsibilities
Support for the association's communication activities
Ø Contribute to the production and layout of multimedia content: articles, videos, newsletters, visuals, etc.
Ø Help run internal communication platforms (Souk, SharePoint, WhatsApp, Zoom, etc.).
Ø Helping to update the photo database and archive communication documents.
2. Support for the organisation of association events
Ø Participate in the logistical preparation of events (AGM, association forum, G, webinars, etc.).
Ø Helping to coordinate guests, take notes and cover events (taking photos, video footage, live publications).
Ø Support briefings and debriefings for participants at head office and in the field.
3. Contribution to community life
Ø Help promote the association's activities.
Ø Helping to manage collaborative tools and mailing lists.
Ø Helping to capitalise on good practice in communications within associations.
Ø Participating in internal meetings of the associations department.
Ø Contribute to discussions on improving the association's communications.
Ø Collect simple feedback from associate members on communication materials.
4. Administrative support
Ø Support for managing memberships, membership lists and issuing Association Passports (PAssoports).
Job requirements
Education
Students in communications, journalism, international relations, social sciences or a related field.
Professional experience required
· Experience of, or a strong interest in, communications, event organisation and/or the voluntary sector.
· Experience in an NGO or in an international context is an asset.
Technical skills
Ø Proficiency in office automation tools (MS Office), digital platforms (SharePoint, Zoom, Canva, WhatsApp, Mailchimp or equivalent).
Ø Ability to write, edit and format content (written, audio, visual).
