We Are Looking for: SUPPLY CHAIN SUPPORT INTERN

Position Based in: Abidjan, HQ

Type of Contract: Fixed-Term Internship Contract under Ivorian law; (3) months Renewable

Your Role in the team

Mission

The Supply Chain Support Intern supports the headquarters’ Supply Chain Department in ensuring smooth, compliant and efficient supply operations in support of field missions. The intern contributes to data management, documentation, reporting, and coordination across key supply processes, including procurement follow-up, international transport, delivery and tools support. The intern is also responsible for supporting the administrative organization of the department: compiling lists of activities, deadlines, and recommendations; managing the team’s schedule; organizing meetings ; and drafting minutes…

 

Main responsibilities / Activities

  1.        Support to Supply Chain Operations

  •          Assist in the preparation and consolidation of needs forecasts and procurement plans.

  •          Support follow-up of field orders to HQ and shipment tracking.

  •          Contribute to the coordination of international shipments and customs processes in collaboration with Ivory Coast mission team.

  •          Provide support to stock management and inventory monitoring, if relevant to HQ-managed warehouses.

2.        Administrative and Departmental Organization

  •          Monitor departmental activity plans, timelines, and implementation of key recommendations.

  •          Manage the team calendar and help coordinate internal and external meetings.

  •          Draft and archive meeting minutes and follow-up action points.

  •          Assist in organizing workshops, onboarding sessions and departmental events.

3.        Document Management & Compliance

  •          Organize and archive procurement and supply chain documentation (orders, invoices, delivery notes …).

  •          Assist in ensuring compliance with internal procedures and MSF WaCA requirements.

4.        Data & Reporting

  •          Contribute to the development of dashboards and supply chain performance indicators (KPIs).

  •          Support the analysis of delivery lead times, procurement timelines, and supply reliability.

  •          Assist in generating regular reports and presentations for internal or interdepartmental meetings.

5.        Cross-Department Collaboration

  •          Attend coordination meetings and support the preparation of training materials or documentation for workshops.

  •          Contribute to internal communications on supply chain procedures and tools.

  •          Process Documentation & Improvement

  •          Participate in the review and improvement of existing supply tools, SOPs, and templates.

  •          Document lessons learned, good practices, and contribute to process standardization.

  •          Propose practical solutions to improve efficiency and reduce delays.

Job requirements

Who can apply ?

  •          Final-year undergraduate or graduate students based in Côte d’Ivoire.

  •          Recent graduates (within the past year) Students based in Cote d’Ivoire.

Qualifications & Professional experience required

  •          Completed degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business or a related field.

  •          Previous internship or volunteer experience in a logistics supply chain or NGO environment is a plus.

Your Superpowers

  •          Organizational skills and analyticals skills with attention to details.

  •          Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with data tools (e.g. Power BI …)

  •          Good interpersonal and communication skills.

  •          Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural and dynamic environment.
